Everything you need to know about where to eat, drink and play on the GC

Known for its pristine beaches, the Gold Coast is no doubt a beautiful place, making it an ideal destination for tourists. What many don’t realise however is that the Gold Coast has much, much more to offer than just a simple beach holiday.

In particular, the lead up to the 2018 Commonwealth Games has seen the Gold Coast experience grow, with new facilities, restaurants and experiences bringing their business to the host city. With so much to do, it’s impossible to cram it all into a single getaway! To help you get the full Gold Coast experience, we’ve put together a round-up of the best things to see, eat and do.

Stay: Peppers Broadbeach

Peppers Broadbeach is modern, elegant and perfectly situated, with Oracle Boulevard located just below, offering you restaurants, coffee, cafes and retail shopping literally at your doorstep.

With friendly and accommodating staff, wine and chocolates waiting to greet you, free wifi, cable TV, modern, cosy rooms (complete with dreamy king-size beds) and state of the art appliances, a stay at Peppers Broadbeach will provide you you need.

Eat: Hideaway Kitchen & Bar

A street feast like no other, Hideaway Kitchen & Bar is one of the newer additions to the Gold Coast but already one of the most popular and it’s not hard to see why! The best spot in the house is definitely outside where you’ll be seated at tables located directly underneath a collection of umbrellas and fairy lights.

The menu is exploding with mouth-watering dishes just waiting for you to try. Your best bet to avoid food envy is to order one of the two street feast options, which will see you served with a selection of the best dishes they have to offer, customised specifically to suit your table’s tastes.
