Perivolas Hotel, Greece

What’s most interesting about this hotel is that it’s actually built into a group of 300-year-old caves, which used to be the homes of fishermen and farmers. Today it has been transformed into a complex of 17 beautiful private houses, which although totally luxurious, still retain the unique character of the site’s past. The hotel’s main pool sits right on the edge of a cliff offering sweeping views of the sea and horizon, but if you’re in the Perivolas Suite (pictured below), you’ve got a private pool that emerges from nothing less than your very own cave.
