What you don’t want to miss out on
It’s been a delicious half-month of fun and food, and with only 12 days left of the Melbourne Good Food Month, here are the events you don’t want to miss:
- November 12-29: For those who love Asian cuisine, make sure to stop by the Night Noodle Market, which is one of the most Instagrammed events during the Melbourne Good Food Month. But it’s not all about the food – there are stalls that offer great beverages as well. Good thing, too, as some of the dishes can be pretty spicy.
- November 22: Good Food Month celebrates not only food, but also occasions where food makes everything better, such as movies. On November 22 you can watch as some of Melbourne’s top chefs such as Cory Campbell of ex-Vue de Monde, Peter Gunn of IDES, and Nic Poelaert turn their culinary skills to movie snacks that you can enjoy while watching a classic foodie film.
- November 26: If you have a sweet tooth, make sure to indulge during this event. Head on over to Little Lonsdale Street for a great ice-cream bash, courtesy of the famous New York duo of Doug Quint and Bryan Petroff – the mad geniuses behind Big Gay Ice Cream – in collaboration with Gelato Messina.
- November 28-29: Melbourne’s famous Sweetfest takes place in North Melbourne’s Meat Market, and this is definitely a great event to cap off your Good Food Month experience! If you missed the Big Gay Ice Cream the first time, this is your chance to make up for it. You’ll also get a chance to drink cocktails from the world’s number 10 bar, the Black Pearl. Your $20 entrance gives you a complimentary glass of Redbank Emily Brut Cuvée. There are also other sweet treats from Luxbite, Extreme Gelato, and Black Star Pastry.
