A luxury rental villa with a pool, cinema, steam room and gym – and it doesn’t cost as much as you’d think
Samui offers everything. For some it’s a backpacker’s haven. For others it’s a luxurious getaway where discerning holidaymakers fill their time with indulgent spa treatments and lavish dinners. This article is geared towards the latter. IslandView Villa is one property that will take your breath away no matter how many times you visit – and you’re going to want to visit more than once.
Yes, you could stay in a resort, with other people’s kids running around everywhere and all the other pitfalls of sharing recreational space with the masses (we’re aware we’re sounding a tad snobby right now, but you get the gist).
But seriously, for total privacy, a pool villa all your own is where it’s at.
And IslandView Villa is certainly that – and so much more. To start with, there are six bedrooms, a large, private infinity-edge pool and spa with a sea view, a roomy contemporary kitchen and two huge living spaces (one on the pool level and another upstairs) – and that’s all on the upper floors.
Downstairs there’s a 12-person, Wi-Fi-enabled private cinema kitted out with plush leather electric recliners, a large projector screen and state-of-the-art surround sound speakers (you can even turn this home theatre into a karaoke room), a steam room, a fully equipped gym, and a massage room complete with a trickling waterfall.
If you’re entertaining, and let’s face it, if you’re staying at this place you’re probably going to want to, the floor-to-ceiling glass walls that lead to the pool are fully retractable, allowing for uninterrupted sea views from the entire open-plan ground floor living space. There’s also an outdoor kitchen and barbecue area encompassed by an impressive blue LED-fitted bar that’s perfect for entertaining.
But the best part? You don’t even have to rent out the whole house. You can just rent a single room and you’ll still be given the whole place to yourself (you just won’t have access to the other bedrooms) – reduced occupancy rates start at just US$300 USD a night. Yep, you read that right.
We even hear that this pimpin’ pad is just up the road from the Beckham’s Samui holiday home, too.
